{"id":10,"date":"2006-11-23T22:09:59","date_gmt":"2006-11-23T21:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/steen.lykking.dk\/?p=10"},"modified":"2007-04-24T06:57:42","modified_gmt":"2007-04-24T05:57:42","slug":"whoaaa-macbook-pro-arrived","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/svend.lykking.dk\/?p=10","title":{"rendered":"Whoaaa, MacBook Pro arrived"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday I recieved a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/macbookpro\/\">MacBook Pro<\/a> with the Core 2 Duo processor, courtesy of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dk.grey.com\/\">employer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"MacBook Pro 15\" title=\"MacBook Pro 15\" src=\"http:\/\/images.apple.com\/macbookpro\/images\/index_ataglance15_20061024.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is one fast computer. Sad to say the greatest advantage at this time is the pace at which it runs Windows. I have never seen a faster install of Windows XP SP2 and Office on any computer and this is when running inside <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parallels.com\/en\/products\/desktop\/\">Parallel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s<\/a> virtualization.<\/p>\n<p>This effectively kills the need to have a PC around to run Windows only apps.<br \/>\nOff course it is also fast in general Mac OS X operation and when Universal Binaries are available but I can&#8217;t wait to see the Adobe Creative Suite as Universal Binary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday I recieved a new MacBook Pro with the Core 2 Duo processor, courtesy of my employer.
